What is the Skin Cancer Foundation of South Africa?

SCFSA is an independent, self-funded non-profit organisation founded in 2013 by a group of dermatologists. We are dedicated to skin cancer education, prevention, and early detection across South Africa.

Is SCFSA a registered NPO?

Yes. SCFSA is registered as NPO 188-234. You can download our NPO registration certificate from the Governance section on our About page.

Where can I read the constitution?

How is the Foundation funded?

Our main income comes from the annual Skin Cancer Update held each July. These funds cover venues, event management, community education, and necessary travel.

How can I support the Foundation?

You can support SCFSA through pro bono accounting support, partnerships, hosting a screening site for National Screening Day, or collaborating on awareness activations. Contact info@skincancerfoundation.org.za to discuss.

How do I access doctor-only handouts?

Register for a customer account and submit your HPCSA registration details. Once verified by our team, your account will be tagged and you will have full access to clinical handouts.

When is National Screening Day?

National Screening Day is held annually in September, offering free public skin cancer screenings at participating locations.

When is the Skin Cancer Update event?

The Skin Cancer Update is held every July and is aimed at doctors and trade professionals.
